PERBEDAAN PENGARUH SEKETIKA TERAPI MANIPULASI DAN TERAPI MOBILISASI TERHADAP NYERI PINGGANG BAWAH

DIFFERENT IMMEDIATE EFFECTS OF MANIPULATION THERAPY AND MOBILIZATION THERAPY ON LOWER BACK PAIN

Abstract

Latar belakang: Terapi manual dengan metode manipulasi maupun mobilisasi telah banyak digunakan dalam menangani nyeri pinggang bawah. Kedua jenis terapi tersebut memiliki cara pembebanan sendi yang berbeda dari segi kecepatan dan amplitudo. Perbedaan tersebut menimbulkan tanda tanya terhadap efek yang dihasilkan. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbedaan efek langsung dari terapi manipulasi dan mobilisasi terhadap nyeri dan lingkup gerak sendi lumbal pada nyeri pinggang bawah. Metode: Penelitian ini berjenis pre-eksperimental dengan desain two groups pre and post test. Subjek adalah pasien dengan keluhan nyeri pinggang bawah sejumlah 30 orang yang memenuhi kriteria, kemudian dibagi ke dalam 2 kelompok, kelompok I mendapat terapi manipulasi dan kelompok II mendapat terapi mobilisasi. Intervensi dilakukan satu kali dan pengukuran outcome dilakukan sebelum dan segera setelah intervensi. Hasil: Uji beda paired sample t-test digunakan untuk menghitung pre dan post test pada masing-masing kelompok. Pada kelompok I nilai nyeri adalah p=0,005 (p<0,05) dan lingkup gerak sendi adalah p=0,000 (p<0,05). Pada kelompok II nilai nyeri adalah p=0,000 (p<0,05) dan lingkup gerak sendi adalah p=0,000 (p<0,05). Uji beda antarkelompok menggunakan independent sample t-test didapatkan hasil akhir p=0,952 (p>0,05) untuk nilai nyeri dan p=0,121 (p>0,05) untuk lingkup gerak sendi. Kesimpulan: Pemberian terapi manipulasi maupun mobilisasi dapat memberikan efek berupa penurunan nyeri dan peningkatan lingkup gerak sendi pada penderita nyeri pinggang bawah, tetapi tidak ada perbedaan signifikan yang dari hasil antara kedua teknik tersebut.
