PENGARUH HIGH INTENSITY FUNCTIONAL TRAINING TERHADAP VO2MAX PADA MAHASISWA FISIOTERAPI INAKTIVITAS

Latar Belakang: Kurang melakukan aktivitas fisik (inaktivitas) menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab tejadinya penyakit kardiovaskuler yang berujung kepada kematian. Upaya pencegahan perlu dilakukan melihat angka prevalensi inaktivitas semakin tahun semakin meningkat. Upaya pencegahan yang bisa dilakukan dengan latihan daya tahan berupa high intensity functional training. Namun belum banyak penelitian yang membuktikan jika HIFT berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan VO2max sebagai indikator daya tahan kardiorespirasi. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh High Intensity Functional Training terhadap VO2max pada mahasiswa fisioterapi inaktivitas. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan randomized controlled trial dengan subjek mahasiswa jurusan fisioterapi Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta yang inaktivitas berjumlah 32 orang. Subjek dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, tiap kelompok terdiri dari 16 orang yang melakukan latihan selama 4 minggu dengan frekuensi 3-4 kali per minggu. Kelompok perlakuan diberi high intensity functional training yang diawali dengan warm up (jogging 5 menit serta stretching statis dan dinamis 5 menit) gerakan berupa: high knee run, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, lunges dan burpee. Kelompok kontrol diberi perlakuan berupa jogging 5 menit serta stretching statis dan dinamis 5 menit. Alat ukur yang digunakan ialah queen’s college step test (QCT). Untuk uji hasil pengaruh tiap kelompok menggunakan paired t-test dan uji beda pengaruh antara kelompok menggunakan independent t-test. Hasil: Hasil analisis dalam kelompok menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan VO2max pada kelompok HIFT (p=0,00) dan control (p=0,00). Perbedaan antar kedua kelompok signifikan dengan kelompok perlakuan memiliki selisih mean pre test dan post test sebesar 3,23 sedangkan kelompok kontrol memiliki selisih sebesar 0,57. Kesimpulan: High Intensity Functional Training lebih berpengaruh dibandigkan kegiatan regular (kelompok kontrol) dalam meningkatkan VO2max dengan selisih mean lebih besar dibanding kelompok kontrol.
